Hi all and thanx for warm welcome.. :103631605
It's Tuesday, and today just one game of World Cup Qualifiers 2006.
South American game. Peru - Uruguay. Others are tomorow..
The table is following :
1. Argentina 28
2. Brasil 27
3. Ecuador 23
4. Paraguay 19
5. Colombia 17
6. Chile 17
7. Uruguay 17
8. Venezuela 15
9. Peru 14
10.Bolivia 13
Four first places goes to World Cup directly..and fifth will have to battle with candidate of Oceania..probably Australia, for that one place..
Tonight's game featuring Peru - Uruguay. Hometeam with poor form lately and this is probably their last chance of getting first 4-5 spots.. But at home they are tough to beat and I expect them not to loose tonight. Uruguay has 3 more points then them, and they made 14 of their points at home..without a single win away from home..
This is probably no bet game.. and will advice to stay away, but for those who want to bet......... I doubt Peru will loose at home, as this is their last chance.. And I will suggest to play on homewin, with a money back cover on draw.. Odds are around 2.25 for homewin, and can be found around 3.00 for draw..
Hope tomorow there will be some better picks.. Till then.. :hola2:

awesome man, I have grown up around soccer, and love to play it. I love to watch games as I have 3 or4 channels primarily soccer, but I never know how to wager on games. Occassionally I wager on a team to take the win or a draw, but with you guys who really know your stuff I can draft behind your picks and enjoy watching such a magnificant game. Thanks for opening this forum FBZ.

welcome aboard mate! :hola2:
which game is your BEST pick?
Today's best pick for me is Colombia to win @ 1.67 ( -149 )
European matches are or too risky or without value ( concerning odds )
P.S: Although i am also pretty confident about Under 2,5 goal in Greece's match against the Ukraine ( odds are around 1,6 -167 )
Good luck ppl :555:

These are my views of today..
I'm thinking to play some DRAWS.. In Greece match, and in Colombia match..
Oh yeah, Colombia.. I see all world is on them, and I'm gona bet on DRAW..but not much stakes.. Ecuador is very poor away from home, and exelent at home.. Colombia is on heaven after 5-0 win over Peru.. Which can be a bit double sword....... Ecuador is playing bad away, but they can play relaxed now, they have lot of points, and will probably be in first 4 positions in the end..even if there is lot more to go.. Anyway, I will try a bet on X covering it with handicap bet on Colombia..as I see just those 2 scenarios tonight..Either Colombia will win by 2 or more goals, or they won't win at all..
Other DRAW is Greece - Ukraine.. also there many people is playin homewin.. I'll try on DRAW. Greece needs points for second spot, Ukraine is first..and even they don't need points that much, my opinion is that it will be hard for Greece to beat them..

I am sorry to say that IMO i can't see any way of Latvia qualifying to the World Cup. Euro2004 entry was enough for them. Slim chances of repeating this miracle.

yeah kinda figured, figure they have to win atleast 3 of last 4 in order to qualify for runner-up bracket, but that I can see will be very tough. It will be fun to watch up until next year, thanks for the reply will be following a lot of your picks.

Hi guys! I have a soccer pick for tomorrow:
Australia - New Zealand
Take: Australia
Odd: 1.5 (-200)
First of all every good soccer betor knows that friendly matches are not good for betting. Despite all I think this one worths trying. The reason is the great difference between both teams.
Australia is the best team in their region. They won the Oceania Nations Cup in 2004 (again). Their main opponent in last years New Zealand could not even get the second place because lost to Vanuatu 2:4!!! The game between both teams ended 1:0 for Australia.
The secret of the good game of Australia are the best players in the Oceania region. The team have stars like Harry Kewell and Mark Viduka. Half of the players are playing in Europe. Australia even managed to beat England 3:1 in a friendly match a year ago. On the other side we have a team with no well-known players, participating in their local championship. There are only few exceptions which are playing in USA and lower english divisions.
The game will be in London and Viduka may not play because of an injury but it's not fatal for the outcome. ;)
Good luck!

Hey mate, you sure Kewells gonna play too?
Him and Viduka have had Injury blited seasons, Viduka out most of the season and Kewell recently injured his groin in the CL final and having/had an operation on it...i can confirm later.
Actually i can confirm the full squad now:
Squad for New Zealand game: Tim Cahill (Everton), Scott Chipperfield (Basel), Simon Colosimo (Perth Glory), Ahmad Elrich (Busan I'Park), Brett Emerton (Blackburn Rovers), Vince Grella (Parma), Zeljko Kalac (Perugia), Jon McKain (National Bucharest), Ljubo Milicevic (FC Thun), Craig Moore (unattached), Kevin Muscat (Melbourne Victory), Lucas Neill (Blackburn Rovers), Michael Petkovic (Trabzonspor), Tony Popovic (Crystal Palace), Mark Schwarzer (Middlesbrough), Josip Skoko (Genclerbirligi), Mile Sterjovski (Basel), Archie Thompson (Melbourne Victory), Michael Thwaite (National Bucharest), Tony Vidmar (Cardiff City), Mark Viduka (Middlesbrough), Luke Wilkshire (Bristol City)
Kewell is defenitly out and Viduka is in the squad, and would be cool if he played so he can get a good run out, and i hope he doesnt injure himself again cos i really like him as a player, not the fastest and a bit fat but so much skill on the ball, plus M'boro are going to definitly sign another striker so he will need to be in shape to compete for a spot alongside Hasselbaink.
"Little Tim" Cahill will surely be the main man for Australia, i dont know much about the Aussie squad and nothing about the NZ one, but the players i do know in the Aussie squad ie. Schwarzer, Emerton, Neill, Muscat, Moore, Skoko and Vidmar, are fairly average.
Australia seem the obvious choice, but as its a friendly, probably a No Bet for me.
GL all !!!

I knew Kewells wouldn't play but he and Viduka didn't play in the last Australia win over NZ too.
Anyway it was very hard match but Australia won 1:0 with goal in 86 min! I made some good money but will think twise next time before betting on such match...

For today I decided my bets will be following ones :
Spainish Cup Final, Betis - Osasuna..
Don't need to write which team is better, coz it's clearly Betis.. But it's final and in one match all can happen right?
Well, I just can't see Betis loosing this one against Osasuna..and I expect a match with lot's of goals and a nice win for Betis.. Maybe 4:2? ;)
Betis low high stakes.. Odds are around 2.00. GL.
WCQ Africa, Tunis - Guinea..
This one I will use for combos.. Odds are low, and Guinea is not bad at all..and currently is still in fight with Morroco and Tunis for place which gets ticket for WC next year.
The game is played earlier of others coz Tunis will play in next Confederations Cup in Germany from next week.. Tunis is very strong at home, last game they beat poor Malawi 7-0. Now they will have tougher job with Guinea which isn't strong away from home, only at home, but all in all I expect a homewin here.. Tunis is coached by Frenchman Roger Lemerre who won the WC with France in '98, and EURO '00.. They didn't start very well the qualifications, strugling in away matches, but they consolidate now and are currently playing best soccer.. Can't see them loosing here..
Table :
1. Morroco 15pts
2. Tunis 11 ( 2 games played at home, 2 wins, 11-1 goal diference)
3. Guinea 11 ( 3 games played away, two losses and one draw, 2-4 goal dif.)
4. Kenya 6
5. Bocwana 5
6. Malawi 4
Odds around 1.5..

I can`t agree with you!! This game seems to be easy win for Betis, but won`t be for sure. Betis has few important missings!! I am not sure which players, I forgot, but I am sure that two best players are out, Oliveira (their best scorer) and Joaquin. I don`t see any vaue here, maybe better to try with Osasuna or x2!

Today one important game in Italy, Parma and Bologna playing their first of two matches, and fighting for survival in SERIE A.
As you all know, Parma has very weakened squad for todays game, with important missings all over the team.. Inlcuding their best player Gillardino..and many others, also important..
I will bet on this game just on my feeling, as I don't see Parma wining here with their important missings..
Bologna had a very bad end of the season, which put them into this position, but all in all they were more consistant then Parma whole year imo, and their goal record is much better.. Bologna 33-36, Parma 48-65. And Bologna even won two times against Parma these season..
My feeling tells me Parma will go to Serie B next season.. They were strugling financially earlier in the season, the situation was really bad and non optimisitc, but somehow they overcame it.. But it's clear that AC PARMA is in downtrend in last years..financial backup is not so good anymore, and team had to be reduced to moslty young guns.. Probably no one expected them to fight for survuval, but that's the reallity in this moment I guess..
But let's be objective, Bologna is not some super team, they are very mediocre nowdays, they had their moments of shyness with Baggio and Signori in past years, but now they are just a solid team..without many prospectives and possibilities with curent roster.. But anyway, imo it will be enough to overcame Parma in two games by one goal at least, and stay in SERE A.
So I don't think Bologna will loose tonight, and I will bet on them..with small cover on draw..

Ok now, after missing last few days..(missed also some nice picks), here we are again.. Intertoto starts in few hours, and let's see about some nice easy picks..!
La Valleta - Buducnost AWAY WIN. Odds around 1.4, 1.5
This is easy.. La Valleta is team from Malta, and not even best there.. They were champions in past, but in last 3 years they were struggling in their league, so now days they are average even for their weak league.. Buducnost is from Serbia&Montenegro, and those two countries in soccer terms are miles far from eachother.. Buducnost is young team, very talented, and even though they will have some injury problems ahead of the match, I can't see them loosing today.. Should be easy win..quality is just on away team.. And you can play also OVER, or away win with handicap in combos..
Trans Narva - Lokeren AWAY WIN Odds around 1.4
Similar situation, quality is just on away side.. Lokeren should win this easily, they went to this game with good players, and should take the game serious..and in that case I see only one outcome.. Lokeren wining..
Home team is from Estonia, which clubs are very poor in Europe. Lokeren from Belgium, not the best league in EU, but too much for weak Estonians in this case.. Quality on Lokeren.. Away win.. And with handicaps in combos..
And one game from confederations cup :
Australia - Argentina AWAY WIN again.. Odds around 1.4 again.. :)
Here again the diference in class it's obvious.. Australia is wild team, Argentina currently best team in World in my opinion.. and I would sugest a handicap bet on Argentina also.. And most probably we will see lot of goals in Australia's net..
Some other games for combos from intertoto matches :
Slaven - Ptuj homewin,
Bohemians - Gent UNDER 2.5 goals,
and Lokeren and Buducnost games mentioned above, with handicap bets on them.. also Gothenburg will win easy in Luxemburg, and probably with many goals..so away win with handicap, and OVER,OVER,OVER...
GL.

Hi everyone, 1st post so i hope its a good one!!
Elfsborg v Malmo(6/5) - 2 - Med Stakes
Malmo are sitting 2nd and have a solid away record (won 3 out of the 5 so far), although they are coming off the back of a defeat to top of the table Djurgardens. Elfborg are in 10th but are unbeaten in their last 5 (W-2, D-3, L-0) but the 2 wins have been against a poor Gefle side and a mid table Hammarby. At this relatively early point in the season 7 pts separate the teams.
Due to Elfsborg decent run im betting Medium stakes, but i feel that Malmo have too much for them.

Hi again. After succesfull Intertoto picks last week, here we go again.. Return matches tomorow..
But firstly, I have one match from basketball on Friday..
I think just few online bookies have this game, or maybe just 'Bet and Win', didn't check others..
It's game 3 of the finals in Serbia and Montenegro..
Hemofarm plays Partizan.. Partizan won 2 games at their home, but now 2 games are in Hemofarm's town..and arena.. And I'm sure Hemofarm will win..
Odds are 1.65 in 'Bet and Win'..
I will strongly advice you to play it, if u have account there.. Don't have much time to write more about it, but it should be nothing else then homewin.. GL.

Dubnica - Vasas home win. ( intertoto ) Odds around 1.80.
Odd Grenland - Brann away win.. ( Norway ) Around 2.00.
Akranes - Inter away win.. ( intertoto ) Around 2.40.
Hammarby - Gefle home win ( Sweden ) Around 1.50.

A few Intertoto picks from me too:
Saint-Etienne - Neuchatel Xamax 1@1.5 (-200) LOST 1:1
Best pick for tomorrow IMO! Great french team against middle-class team from Switzerland. Great difference in classes and great odd for home win.
Wolfsburg - Sturm Graz 1@1.4 (-250) LOST 2:2 :CUSSING:
Again great difference between both team classes. Wolfsburg will try to enter UEFA Cup trough Intertoto and have better players. Sturm could not even beat very poor team Ranger's Venecia as guest in 1st Round (1:1). The only problem is that Wolfsburg started training just a week ago and Sturm played some games already...
Cluj - Athletic Bilbao 1X@1.8 (-156) WON 1:0
The spanish team is much better but in this match they will play with team B. These are inexperienced player of age 18-21. On the other side we have very motivated home team. They have a new coach also which usually helps in such games.
Gent - Zlin 1@1.6 (-167) WON 1:0
I don't know if the belgian team is the better one but I hope the home crowd will help them. They beat Bohemians 3:1 at their stadium in first round. On the other side Zlin scored just one goal in both games with the unknown team Neman Belkard Grodno. This match is also good for under 2.5 goals (odd 1.7) because Zlin seems to have good defence and Gent doesn't score much. A little possibility of draw - 0:0, 1:1.
All odds taken from Globet (http://www.globet.com/g_home.asp?g_net_cp=M1L7)!

Return games for intertoto..! and let's try to sneak something out..
First pick : Buducnost - DEPOR.
Well, funnily enough, I live in Podgorica, and Buducnost is my team.. ;) they didn't played that bad in first leg, deserved better result, but coz of young and unexpereineced third choice goalkeeper, result was 3-0.
In second game our first goalkeeper is back, and some players also, but I think it won't be enoough to beat Depor.. Max we can get I think it's draw..
But I expect again Depor to win..maybe 0-1, 0-2. We are still unexperienced and young team, and Depor is in this moment a bit too much for us..
So I will suggest again to play on Depor.. But I hope my team will not dissapoint.. ;)
Second pick, well try to write tomorow if I find something good..

Kamei,I think you should stake small on home team (win or draw).
Deportivo only don't allow their opponent win by 3 goals or more and they have some others to do.

As I said, I live in Podgorica and Buducnost is my team.. So my pick is based on evaluation of current quality of my team, and knowlegde of them..
I know Depor don't need to win now.. But we won't win, that's for sure..
For me it's 35% for X and 65% for away win.. Depor is too much for us at the moment..

Tomorrow picks (16.07.2005):
Ruzomberok - Inter Bratislava 1@1.9 (-111)
First round of the Slovakian 1st division. Last year Ruzomberok ended 7th and Inter 9th. This year Inter is in a financial crisis and Ruzomberok has enough money to celebrate 100 years from the founding of the club. They took some new good players too and played great control matches. In Slovakia the home advantage is huge and Ruzomberok is the better team. They have beaten Inter 6:0 at home last year.
Fluminense - Sao Caetano 1@1.72 (-139)
Fluminense are 2nd at the moment and Sao Caetano 11th after 11 games played. In Brazil the home advantage is very important too. That's why Fluminense has only wins against Sao Caetano at home in the last few years. I think it will be the same tomorrow. There is a little possibility of a draw because bresilians do not score easy...
