Just finished the draft and here's the team I wound up with...not too shabby, I had the 4th pick in a 10-team league:
8th year in this one, non-keeper, 1250 for 1st, 750 for 2nd, and 350 for 3rd.
$165 entrance fee.
QB A. Brooks (7th)
WR T. Owens (2nd)
WR J. Walker (3rd)
WR H. Ward (4th)
RB P. Holmes (1st)
RB D. Foster (5th)
TE Da. Clark (8th)
BN J. Arrington (6th)
BN E. Kennison (11th)
BN J. Bettis (10th)
BN D. Carr (12th)
BN C. Rogers (13th)
BN L. Johnson (14th)
K M. Nugent (15th)
DEF New England (9th)
I'll probably start the Bus the first week or two...maybe wait to see if Carolina goes with Davis because I'll start Foster in week 1 over the Saints.

I'm going to assume that with the loaded WR corp, that the start roster is 3 minimum each week. I really dont know what to say other than your RB depth needs some work and a trade for a more solid/dependable weekly scorer is vialble. QB will be a nice suprise for you as Carr should post top #10 FF stats and this is Brooks contract year (they always seem to bust out during those thing-a-ma-jigs). JJ could very easily take home the ROY as I dont see De'Shaun lasting past week 6 without a significant injury. Bettis is a fantastic emergency gap stop as he is the King of Vulture Land. I've never been a rookie kicker picker (say that 10 times fast) but I did reach for Keating last year and loved the dividends. Great TE is Dallas but alittle too early. Unless a TE of Gonzo,Gates or Heap is around, I will wait until bottom 1/4 of draft. Other than that....I'd dig deep to find a replacement for Mr.Collarbone and even E.Kennison. This year the WR pool is deeper than any year I've played. Dont know who is available on your WW so cannot comment further on that.
You should make serious run at crown. Good Luck.
Peace!!

WR's have 3 spots and RB have 2...each chalk up 1 pt for every 10 yards receiving and 6 pts for every TD...the position impact is pretty equal when you factor 3 WRs in the lineup and 2 RB's with all stats equal...I know Rbs get far more touches but I like my upside in Arrington and I know Foster can produce if healthy. Bettis will get me enough TDs, I could have McGahee right now if I choose to do away with Owens but I know how this guy can take over a game and I am comfortable with a serviceable RB2 as long as Holmes is healthy...It's no exact science...I have won this league a few times when I thought I had a bad draft and finished near the cellar when I thought my draft was flawless..the early run on RBs would have left me reaching for Brian Westbrook over Hines Ward when I could load up on WRs and grab and Arrington, Bettis, Foster without having to reach. If Buckhalter is healthy then Westbrook factors less in the offense around the goal line...I just wasn't gonna reach for him knowing I could have the strongest group of receivers in the league and already 3 trade props with people telling me I don't want the TO headache, do I?

I can pick up a waiver wire kicker each week with a healthy matchup...remember it's only a 10-team league. I picked Nugent to hear the oohs and ahhhs while everyone was cocked 2 hours into the draft.
