sorry about yesterdays thread, it was suppose to say Tuesday, didn't realize it till this morning. Here are my thoughts and plays.

yesterday was bogus! ha my EPL plays were in reverse, i called Birmingham/Boro draw instead Boro thrashed Birmingham 3-0 and Villa/Pompey ended up as a stupid draw which i could only say, Pompey should of scored more as Villa were down to 10 men for 80 mins and their goal came from an own goal! Haha. Anyways here are the remaining Champs League Qualifier fixtures that i like.

Villareal ML @1.57 vs Everton

All i know it is very difficult for teams to come into Spain and get something. In La Liga last year Villareal

Won 14
Draw 4
Lost 1

Scored 41
Allowed 10

They only loss 2-0 to Depor in La Liga but in Europe they won all their home games except the most important one in the Semi's vs AZ as they loss 2-1 I think Everton's lack of experience in Europe will cost them the game. So unless they can pull off a magical run, i highly doubt they can really scare Villareal.

Werder Bremen vs Basle Over 3 @ 1.90

Bremen knows how to score goals goals goals especially at home. Last season at home in the Bundesliga

9 Wins
4 Draws
4 Loss

Scored 33
Allowed 15

This year their first match of the season at home they won 5-2, the Odds for Over 2.5 are low so i just bought the extra .5 cause after the action we've seen on the 2nd leg for home squads, this should be a goal fest. I also believe Bremen will win perhaps playing a handicap is also ideal but right now my logic is for Bremen to score as they don't normally come out of a low scoring affair.

English Premier League
7-9 YTD

Arsenal -1.5 @ 1.825 vs Fulham

The odds for Arsenal home win just doesn't cut it. There is no doubt that Arsenal should win this tie, but by how many? Last weekend we saw the first of many intriguing EPL ties at Stamford Bridge. Unfortunately for Arsenal, as i mentioned earlier, Drogby the donkey scores a fluke goal. I'm not a big fan of Arsenal but i cannot hide the talent that Henry and other players posses. Henry can easily take the game into his own hand and score at will. That's what i believe he will do today. Its important that Arsenal take maximum points against lower clubs so they do not loose ground on the other title contenders. Also note that this is Arsenal's last season playing at Highbury before they move to Ashburton Grove. Thus that is why we see the different colored home jersey. A 2 goal handicap vs a depleted Fulham squad who sold Andy Cole over the summer is generous but its early in the season. Past few results between the two

26.12.2004 Arsenal - Fulham 2 - 0
11.09.2004 Fulham - Arsenal 0 - 3
09.05.2004 Fulham - Arsenal 0 - 1
30.11.2003 Arsenal - Fulham 0 - 0
01.02.2003 Arsenal - Fulham 2 - 1

Mind you that during the 2003/2004 campaign, Fulham was a decent squad but now they touted at the start of the season to be lower table dwellers. Look for a comfy Arsenal victory here fellas!

Blackburn vs Tottenham ML @ 2.65

This is the best value so far to date. Critics are still doubting Tottenham's abilities this season. But yet so far two games, two victories with 2-0 results. I believe bookies are just waiting to see when this Spurs team will break. Well they play two important fixtures next, Chelsea this weekend, and than Liverpool. Right now they play a Blackburn squad that got smoked 3-1 to newly promoted West Ham Utd. They manged to win 2-1 the next game against Portsmouth but now they face some issues. new signing striker bellamy is out, midfielder matt jansen is out, another striker dickov is suspended. A win here would give much needed confidence ahead of the important ties for Tottenham. So far my predictions on who would score in games has been correct. So again i believe Jermaine Defoe will get on the scoresheet.

Past Results

15.05.2005 Tottenham - Blackburn 0 - 0
04.12.2004 Blackburn - Tottenham 0 - 1
08.05.2004 Tottenham - Blackburn 1 - 0
29.11.2003 Blackburn - Tottenham 1 - 0

That 0-0 draw robbed Tottenham of a Europe spot, so look for some revenge today!
