I'll just keep one thread going.

One game I see that I like for thursday.

LSU-17
------------------------------------------------
LSU will beat them by 30 if they can.

Saturday:

Call me a homer, but I do know that David Cutcliffe has never lost a game to a PAC10 team. Phillip Fulmer may be in his last season as the TENN coach if he has a par season(8-3). Last years game could have been worse if Fulmer hadn't called the dogs off in the 3rd. Tenn has players from Cali, and loves to recruit in the Bear state.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I got this last week at +7 but will call it now for my FBZ record at +6

TENN +6

I was thinking about the Gamecocks for this weekend. Spurrier is out for blood, but that was before his players started getting suspended.

hmmm a 17 point fav.....whew. might have to sleep on that one, anything over 3 is huge to me. what a way to start the season.

then of course the tolken Vols pick. did anyone else see that comming??? just playin. goodluck to the both of you guys.

ON A SIDE NOTE: To those unfamiliar with Vol's picks, lets just say he is one person I would tail blindly.... no doubt about it.

Tennessee's quarterback injured and may not play.

This is the rumors that are circulating through the hills of Tenn.

First off, its his pinky that he jammed in practice. Second, he is a damn football player. Spit on it, rub some dirt on it. If that doesnt repair it, then tape it.

It is his throwing hand though.

in my opinion he'll play. no worries here.

Offshore sport books opened this line with our Vols 5.5, after all this injury hub bub circulating the line has remained at a consistant 6. 6 is where it has been for nearly a week now.

Off shore sport books have taken nearly 4000 bets on this game, and nearly 56% of them are on the Vols.

If Ainge wasn't playing that pointspread would have dipped to 7 by now.

just my opinion, but when looking for injury answers sometimes its best to see whats happening in the sport books.

One game I like, that not many are talking about is Purdue -7. The Boilers are a decent if not great team, and remembering early season blowout losses by Toledo to Minnesota & Kansas in the fairly recent past, I could see the Boilers winning this by 20-25 pts........

with ya on Kent, and really wanted to go against LSU, but will lay off and root you on. You were right at least right now Kent looks like a very solid wager, and love the fact 4 is out there.

Some facts about Kent/ISU and SC.

Kent only allowed an average of 15 points last yr, they are returning 17 players. Iowa State as bad as they were last year lost 15-16 players.

Whats the public looking at? Kent State is 2-27-1 straight up in road openers. Iowa State has won eight straight home openers by an average score of 33-12. The Cyclones are 20-2 SU against teams from the MAC and they have won four straight against the Golden Flashes by an average margin of 22 points.

S. Carolina- Starting QB out, but here is spurriers game plan. Play the 2nd string qb for about 60% of the snaps and bring in the 3rd string qb. Also rest as many offensive starters as possible. Give georgia nothing to see on film next week. Play the first string defense as much as possible.

They return all 11 starters on defense and 6-7 on offense, heres a little hint for you. Thier offensive coordinator was at Notre Dame last year(another reason to be on the Yellow Jackets?). UConn returns most of thier defense, but its a defense that ranked about 85th last year. Who knows which kid they will settle in at quarterback.

Illinois+5
Ron Zook, 18 returning starters, lead the Big 10 in rushing last year oh did I mention Ron Zook? Missouri returns just 5 guys on defense, and while they ranked 35th on defense last year they got thier asses handed to them in the Big 12 in rushing yards allowed.

Stanford+17
UCLA is most definetly the better team here, however you have to love a Jim Harbaugh coming in with 15 returning starters and running that west coast offense that he did so well with at sdg st.

Oklahoma State+7
The books are still begging for some more action on the Bullgdogs here. Cowboys are one of two teams in that had both over 200yds in the air and on the ground last yr. 8 of those starters are back. Georgia has lots of questions at the receiver, running back offensive line positions. Add to the mix that they only return 3 starters on defense.

One thing that all these team have in common. The public is on the other side of them and the line has reverse movement.
