Record Last year: 27-29

This is something I am going to do on a yearly basis. I am convinced that betting sports is alot easier to win then people think and it just comes down to a few general things. In these threads I will be working on spreading out bets amoung 5 different quality outs. I will also be flat betting, thus working on Money management. And lastly I will try and take advantage of public perception.

The plays will be the most lop-sided action games of the week imo. I will be using multiple public percentage sites and also polls and mainstream media.

The books I will be using. (reason)

SIA (best dog book imo)
bodog (good dog lines)
betmania (-107 lines)
betonline (-105 lines)
matchbook (exchange out)

I am fairly confident if you have accounts at these places and follow these picks you will be up money come the close of the season. I do not advocate people tailing me on my regular plays, but if you can get the same line or better then what I post here, I would advocate tailing if you do not think you can win on your own. anyways, if nothing else I hope this will be insightful.

Top 3 Weekly Shades for this weekend:

1. LSU @ Mississippi State (+19.5) The bet here would be on Mississippi State, and the best line can be found at Bodog. This game stands out, because it will be tonight during a time when many will be tuned into the first couple games of the year. It is being bet almost more then double what any other game is being bet tonight. It also is taking completely lopsided action with LSU taking almost 8 bets on LSU to every 1 on MSU. I also like this game being played at home for MSU.

2. Virginia Tech vs. East Carolina (+28) The bet here is on East Carolina and the best line can be found at Bodog. Virginia Tech is one team that I think is truly legit this year. However with that said they are also one of the most bet teams year in and year out. This should be the most bet game on Saturday and it is almost 9 Vtech bets to every one EC bet. I will side with the books here and take the dog.

3. West Virginia vs. Western Michigan (+24) The bet here is on Western Michigan and the best line can be found at Matchbook with slightly reduced vig (but those cents really add up in the long run) West Virginia is really really hyped this year and this is a play mainly playing off that hype. I think they will easily win, but 24 is a blowout. This should be the 2nd biggest bet game of the day Saturday, and WVU is taking almost all the action.

goodluck.

RECAP OF BETS:

Mississippi State +19.5 -110 (Bodog)
East Carolina +28 -110 (Bodog)
Western Michigan +24 -106 (Matchbook)

thanks for the info shawnee, I'll still take my chances with it, but good to see you around, your input on sat/sun morns is pretty close to priceless.

Tough one Jag, seems like LSU might just be able to score this year, and the defense looks for real.

Thanks Clark!
