I need some thoughts on this game tonight....

Peavy/Fogg... what does everything think?

I think that Colorado gets it done tonight. they have been way too hot and San Diego will not get the runs to win. I think under might be worth a shot as well at 9 or highter, but the vig is kinda high.

I think I'll lay off this one ultimately and wait for the playoffs.

The San Diego Padres and Colorado Rockies play a one game playoff tonight to decide which team wins the National League Wild Card. The Padres collapsed down the stretch while the Rockies sizzled and now the Rockies have a chance to make the playoffs. They will have to beat Jake Peavy to do it. SBG Global reports that early betting has the public taking Rockies on the Road.

This is the first playoff to determine a postseason berth since the New York Mets beat Cincinnati in 1999 to earn the wild card. The winner of this game will play Philadelphia in the playoffs. Colorado comes into the game having won 13 of their last 14 games. They will have to beat Peavy though who is 19-6 on the season with an ERA of 2.36. He is 10-1 record with a 2.20 ERA in his last 13 starts. Peavy is 0-0 with a 1.29 ERA in two starts against the Rockies this year. He is 3-3 with a 3.96 ERA in six career starts at Coors Field.

Colorado has the trio of MVP candidate Matt Holliday, Garrett Atkins and Todd Helton to lead them. Holliday leads the NL with a .340 average, three points ahead of Atlanta's Chipper Jones. Atkins batted .390 with five homers, 17 RBIs and 19 runs this month while Helton had 20 RBIs this month. "We still haven't finished it,' he said. "One hundred sixty-three games. It all comes down to tomorrow,” Helton said.

I know it is late, but just got home. This is the trend I have.

The Rockies are 5-23 since August 19, 2004 at home after a win in which they allowed 5+ walks for a net profit of $1925 when playing against.
