Here is my theory on what to do in politics if your opponent is sinking: throw him an anvil.

That's just what we're doing right now to the Grand Oil Party by exposing all their sleazy ties to those Big Oil companies lining their pockets and sticking it to average folks at the gas pump. How would you like to help?

The Republicans are so desperate to hide their ties to Big Oil that they enlisted none other than the shadowy Karl Rove-backed Freedom's Watch to try and change the subject and promote John McCain's 100 Year Plan in Iraq. Right now, Freedom's Watch is spending millions on attack ads of the worst kind against any Democrat who dares to oppose their Big Oil agenda.

It's up to us to decide whether they get away with this trash.

My friends at the DCCC have launched an all out campaign including radio ads that started running on Friday to defeat these Republicans and their oil soaked campaign coffers. These Republicans have accepted millions and protected oil profits in the billions while we're left with nothing but empty wallets at the gas station.

Help spread the word far and wide about the GOP's big ties to Big Oil - check out the DCCC's latest radio ads.

Even worse, The Washington Post reported that Republican Leader John Boehner has spent the last week doing a series of golf outings while a small band of House Republicans remain in Washington to call for "drill only" legislation that does nothing to bring immediate relief to Americans paying high gas prices.

Changing the subject with their Karl Rove campaign of distraction is what Republicans do best. The only way we're gonna win this fight is by getting the word out, which is just what the DCCC is doing.

They're going up on the radio with response ads and doing whatever it takes to make sure everyone knows how hard Republicans are working to protect those same Big Oil companies who earned a whopping $44 billion in profit last quarter alone.

Help spread the word far and wide about the GOP's big ties to Big Oil - check out the DCCC's latest radio ads.

The last thing those Big Oil Republicans want is for word to leak out about how much money they're taking from those oil companies who are profiting off the pain of America's families. So let's tell everyone all about it.

Pops, would it shock you to learn that Obama has taken more money from oil companies?

Because he has.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no]

huh? you bash McCain for being in bed with big oil..... then you fail to respond to my post stating Obama has more financial contributions from the bog oil you claim is so closely tied to McCain. I dont think there is anything wrong with being tied to today's oil companies, as they are much more concerned with America's well being then those of past years.

This evil deed wasn't accomplished by the usual suspects, FOX News and the Washington Times, but by the entire corporate media landscape.

Karl Rove built up a billion dollar propaganda machine that distributes talking points fresh daily to the corporate media.

And daily, the Corporate Media deliver this propaganda to their willing, empty-headed, Republican vessels.

It's scary. Republicans all speak with the same voice, like Star Trek's arch-villains', the Borg.

Making up your own fact-free world where Valerie Plame wasn't even in the CIA is called a "psychotic break with reality."

Republicans are all PSYCHOS.

Get ready for more of this, coming soon to a street near you.

again, dodging the answer.

also did you know that the campaign donations from the media were staggering to say the least in favor of Obama. Obama took WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more money from these media outlets you claim are soo tilted to the right.

Wonder why 99% of news outlets broke the story that John Edwards admitted to having an affair? However the real story was picked up months earlier when some very few news agencies reported on it as it was on going.

next....

DES MOINES, Iowa - A leading Republican moderate with a foreign policy background endorsed presidential candidate Barack Obama on Tuesday as the Democrat sought to show his appeal to members of both political parties.

Former Rep. Jim Leach of Iowa was among Republicans the Obama campaign said were crossing party lines to support Obama. The Illinois senator's campaign said he was also being backed by the Republican mayor of Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska, Jim Whitaker. The campaign did not release the names of other GOP supporters or the size of the group.

"I'm convinced that the national interest demands a new approach to our interaction with the world," Leach, a foreign service officer before being elected to Congress, said in a conference call with reporters.

"We do need a new direction in American policy, and Obama has a sense of that," he said.
