Well we do have multiple Military bases in Panama and a military base or US embassy is considered sovereign soil of the US.

Also Gorgas Army hospital in Panama City is considered US and so is the only Hospital located on the Atlantic side of the ismus. I can't remember what is called. We just called it Casa Loco.

The US also ran the Panama Canal for a number of years and all the canal employees were considered US GOVT employees.

The Panamanian currency is the US Dollar, but they have their own coins.

Military bases are also considered US soil as long as we hold sovereignty over the laws that apply there. though when we close one we usually give the land back to the country we got it from just like an embassy. Since the foreign nation has no rights to enforce their laws on the base unless we allow it.
