So to clarify the kickoff rule...picks must be posted prior to the time posted in the thread?...therefore a game that starts, say at 8:15pm est, must be posted 8:14 pm est or before, and the last two picks on Va Tech last night are void and past posts, correct? If the kick is at 8:15pm est, any post bearing that time is after kickoff up to a minute.
Some are playing the wait 'til the last minute to post game or post against others picks, thus the need for further clarification - isn't up to a minute after kick no different than one and a half minutes (as I was accused of) or five minutes? That's what the literal application would dictate.
I did not have any bad intent to pick late yesterday but I was jumped on and ridiculed anyway by the same people who seem to be the only ones pushing the limits of the rules while feeling the need to police others.
I have been in several contests here I do not think anyone has ever accused me of anything remotely shady....I'm usually one of the first to post and let the chips fall where they may.
The ruling actually ended up helping me besides.
