I wonder how much longer oil prices stay suppressed. Look at the charts from the last few years - what a mind scrambling thrill ride. How much effect can OPEC have manipulating that thing back to the stratosphere?

Welcome to the board.

Its sad how much control OPEC has. Maybe Obama wil invade OPEC headquarters like Bush invaded Iraq lol.

Oil prices will go back up as we head into the summer. the prices are no longer controlled by just supply and demand, their is a lot of blind speculation in the market now as well. People just taking guesses. OPEC imo does not have the control it once did.

It used to be that someone over in the middle east even thought about lessening the flow of oil and prices shot up. Now you can make an announcement and nothing happens, but watch out for those natural disasters.

I dont think oil goes as high this year as it did last year. I think there was a lot of war premiums built into the price, I doubt we will have these this year unless the afganistan thing starts to spread or if Iran suddenly starts bombing things.

A good short term bet is just after a storm gets announced along the gulf coast. Wait for the price to build up, then short it when the price starts to drop due to an over reaction. You would have made a lot of money last year with that strategy.

Those poor bastards in Dubai got fleeced.

Oil prices were up and it was rocking . . . someone pulled the plug and now people are leaving their cars at the airport with the keys in them, so they don't get put in debtor's prison.

It hasn't bounced back higher, that's good news. I didn't understand the frenzy in the first place, it just seemed like manipulation. Gas is still under $2 in the Southeast US, won't complain much about that, but I don't want to see it going higher for nothing (nothing - like gulf storms[please quit lying], fanatical speculators artificially pushing the price higher[what a bunch of greedy bloodsuckers, I hope they lost their asses for holding positions too long], and false media/social hyperactivity[we don't have to believe the lies anymore]).

The price of oil will be the least of our problems when the inflation kicks in from all the money printed and stolen by the banks.

And let's imagine for a moment that oil goes back to its previous high, and gas prices follow, coinciding with massive inflation. Things could get much, much worse.
