Homeowner accused of operating casino in his residence
Metro police vice detectives today shut down a mini-casino operating out of a home at 3804 Fairview Drive in Bordeaux, according to a police press release.
Inside, detectives seized nine video gambling machines, a craps table, $3,132 cash, records from the business, a shotgun, a pistol and a refrigerator full of beer, the police department said.
The owner and resident, Randall Reynolds, 40, told police the beer was for the customers. Reynolds was charged with gambling promotion.
In addition to the police department's action, the Metro Codes Department issued Reynolds citations for operating a commercial establishment without a license and other violations.
''Stop Work'' signs were posted outside the residence.
